Years ago, about 35 or so, some guy use to come around selling Irish Sweepstakes tickets.?
I remember hearing about the Irish Sweepstakes back in the 1960's. I guess it no longer exists. Spain has quite a big lottery nick named 'El Gordo', $250 million lump sum, tax free.
Reply:Yea, I remember. I haven't even thought about the Irish Sweepstakes in years! I don't know if there is one now or not but I remember phony tickets going around and then it just seemed to fade away. Maybe no one trusted the tickets were legit anymore. I don't know.
Reply:Great question but the answer to that is out side gambling is what those tickets were kinda like you see scalpers selling football tickets in the parking lot it's illegal so that is why you never see those guys any more plus some of them are deceased
