bought vista windows 2 weeks ago...is this contest legit or scam?

Is there a sweepstakes for new vista users?
I believe this is a scam. If you have been sent an email stating you have won a lottery, (one which you haven't entered) then this is most definitely a SCAM.

Remember to protect your identity at all times. Never ever divulge your personal details or give your bank/and or credit card details. Never ever pay any upfront fees under any circumstances, no matter how genuine the offer appears. There are many many fraudsters who just want to steal your identity and your bank balance.
