Is The Sweepstakes Audit Bureau, P.O. Box 549012, Dallas, TX. 75354 legitimate or is it a scam?

I received a Registered Notice stating that I may be a potential winner to the prize in the amount of $12,000,000.00 that I must respond to by April 16, 2008 with a one time research and data fee of $5.00. Besides, I have also received two other about the same offers but from different locations. An answer is needed urgently.

Rip-Off Report on the Sweepstakes Audit Bureau, it's part of a company called Emerson Publishing. Searching for that company name and ZIP 75354 yielded the phone number 214-905-8444, which goes to a phone tree of prompts for subscribing to Sweepstakes Advisor.

Emerson Publishing sells a bimonthly magazine called "Sweepstakes Advisor", which lists sweepstakes/contests across the country, their requirements and entry deadlines. Their other purpose is to collect current contact information to sell to direct mailers through Gnames Media Group (972-871-2828).
Reply:Send me 5 bucks and Ill show you how to make REAL money!!

Reply:Any supposed "lottery" or "sweepstakes" that asks YOU to send THEM money in order to get your winnings is a SCAM. Even if its $5. Don't fall for it.
