I think .... "Sweepstakes begins" is singular
and
"sweepstakes begin" is plural.....
is that right?
Can sweepstakes be singular?
The word 'Sweepstakes' is PLURAL in Funcrtion
but in construction, it can be either Sweepstake' or 'sweepstakes'
So 'Sweepstakes begin' is the right form.
Sweepstake / Sweepstakes

Reply:Yes, sweepstakes can be used with a plural or singular verb.
