Is Liberty sweepstakes inc. legal?i got a check from them, has anyone cashed the check from them yet?
If it was legit it would seem to me that you wouldn't have to send anything anywhere. Ask a bank to check it out. If they cash it, keep it. Don't deposit it in your account. Don't send any money to anyone!
Reply:Take it to a bank and have it checked out.
Reply:You don't recognize a scam!!!
Reply:It's a scam. Call the cops immediately!!!! Give that phone number to the cops to help them track the scammers down.
Here's how it works: You deposit the check (which will NOT clear), then send money from your bank account to their partner (woman in tx). They have your money and you have a worthless check.
Reply:This is a scam. If you try to cash this cheque, YOU MAY BE ARRESTED FOR FRAUD!!! Your bank may call the police on YOU for passing a bad cashier's check.
We got one sent to our small non-profit. I called the bank the cheque was supposed to have been issued from. We are in Canada and it was suppposed to be from an American bank in Florida. The bank in Florida confirmed that they hadn't issued that cheque, it was a scam. My subsequent research( I googled it) revealed that a man had been arrested and charged with fraud in the states for just trying to cash one of these bad cheques!
Reply:its a pure scam,stay away!
